RK-008 learning the RK-002

Hi just got an RK-002 to run my new volca samle2 from my RK-008. When I attach the RK-008 to the RK-002 and go to the system menu I get a message saying No RK-002 found. I have tried shorting the RK-002 to rid it of residual power.
The set up I have used is to connect the orange end to the input of the rk008 and the other end into the output.
Can't think of any other things to do - I've tried different wires but have also confirmed that my computer can see rk-002 when it is plugged into the rk006 and then into my computer.

Perhaps you have the legacy volca sample firmware on it, the RK008/RK002 menu works with the DUY firmwares, this one below is a good one for the volca sample 2, if you have uploaded this on the RK002 the parameters can be altered from the RK008 itself https://duy.retrokits.com/16a634ac-e0ef-4e6a-a406-eaddea38ba96

Only just received it from yourselves. When plugged into computer it said it was version 60? But, when I tried to look at it via DUY it kept on taking me to the legacy page 🤷🏼‍♂️. Which seemed a bit weird.

An order with volca sample firmware is a legacy one, if you switch that firmware to the link above you can also control it from the RK008. If you have setup the DUY page to use your MIDI interface and have a proper connection to the RK002 in loopback - then click on the link above it should show you the pop-in window with an upload button below. Click it and after completion it will show some parameters you can tweak. These parameters are then also accessible from the RK008 menu
