I just figured out that you can replace notes by recording with the track muted, don't fully understand it yet, but it immediately allows for some fun midi looper style performance. Is there a way to replace with silence aka record over the midi notes with empty midi? For instance, the MMT-8 operated this way by default (didn't have overdubbing) so anytime you recorded you were recording over the part with silence, tape machine erase head style. I use this a lot on the MPCs as well to quickly get rid of a section with a mistake/to make variations as I'm going.
