Digitakt, Euclidean sequencer, triggering MIDI tracks

I've been using RK-002 to trigger audio tracks in Euclidean mode successfully so far, but now I would like to trigger one of the midi tracks instead of one of the audio tracks, is that possible?

I'm not sure if the Digitakt's MIDI tracks can be controlled that much by external MIDI, it would mean e.g. an euclidean MIDI output from the RK002 goes back into the Digitakt, but where does it go then? does the Digitakt need to trigger other MIDI on a track by that Euclid input and send out to Digitakt output 2? Or do you just want to forward it to other gear?

If it is about other gear connected to OUT2 of the Digitakt, a better setup would be to disable loopback mode on the RK002, feed the RK002 output to the MIDI device you want to send the euclid stuff on.

The loopback mode on the RK002/DT firmware prevents most of the MIDI thru'ing back into the Digitakt (it would cause a Digitakt lockup) but if you disable that, it will forward everything - meaning, if you connect the RK002 output to a MIDI hub like the RK006 you can distribute that MIDI to other gear (and even send partial MIDI back to the DT if needed)

I'm running Digitakt via Overbridge in Ableton so my plan was to send midi from a DT track with Euclidean (ch.10) back to one of the midi tracks on DT (eg.ch.15) which would then be sent to a midi track inside Ableton. So my guess is, if there would be no midi loopback issues ofc. I would need to reprogram RK-002 so that it doesn't send cc70-77 to midi channels 1-8, instead one of those eight should be ch.15, correct?

ah ok, well it perhaps it already works as-is: If the digitakt just sends thru incoming midi on it's in port to overbridge. The Digitakt sample channels are just triggering on midi channels (e.g. 1-8) so if you set something on your DAW to trigger to 1-8 as well it should be ok.

But I guess easiest would be to just use the RK002 as a MIDI cable in between, but then you'd also need another interface to receive the RK002 midi out.
