BLE Connection

I need some guidance.
Trying to connect CME WIDI Master.
1) Setup a track on the RK8 output to CH1. Test it responds to MIDI keyboard input.
2) Set RK8 to BLE ON / Party
3) Do the Android config for WIDI Master forcing it to Peripheral.
4) Make sure the WIDI Master is currently un-paired.
5) Power up WIDI; Power up RK8
6) Watch the antenna icon flash on the RK8.
when it stops flashing.... playing the (Yamaha WX5) WIDI device doesn't do anything.

Rk8’s BLE connection is pretty unstable. That’s why I’ve ended up connecting a CME WIDI jack to it (and disabled the internal BLE) and ever since I have not encountered any issues.

Btw there is no reason to force your WIDI Master into peripheral unless you intend to use it within a WIDI group.

g3o2 I've found my Korg Nanokey Studio to be pretty rock solid with the RK8 over BLE. The only issue I ever have is getting them connected together but once connected it's fine.

I am not sure how the WIDI and BLE-MIDI differs, but I guess the safest way is to set the RK008 in BLE mode to just 'ON' (BLE pheripheral) and not 'PARTY' (=BLE Central Host) because WIDI has it's own hub app? There's also a 'DIRECTION' setting in the RK008 where you can decide if the BLE records only or sends only (or does both, but in some situations it can choke on a BLE MIDI loop). The RK008 BLE is more designed to quicky add a nanokontrol studio or small controller stuff on it for example, not really for big wireless setups. Also note the RK008 does not send clock over BLE, we did not found it reliable enough.

I actually got a Teenage Engineering ortho remote to pair, which I felt would be awesome to control a single CC, like a filter or something, with. Sadly I could never get it to connect again, but the ortho remote itself is also tricky to connect to anything.
