Beatstep Pro & Electribe Sampler 2

Hello,

I newly bought a RK-002 cable to contol an Electribe Sample 2 (ES2, the red one) with a Beatstep (BSP) Pro as shown in this video :

At first I thought that I had to use the « RK002 Zone Mapper » (the video mention a « Zone manager »), but that led to nothing (maybe I’m misunderstanding something…)

Then I tried the « legacy KVS firmware » as mentionned in this thread :

and that was half a success : I can now contole 10 of the 16 pads of the ES2 with the BSP.
I understand that this is bescause this frimware is oriented on the Volca Sample.
The easy setup trick works very well, though.

But how can I achieve that full 16 pad triggering of the ES2 as shown in the video ?

My Beatsep drum pads are set in chromatic mode and I don’t want to use the custom mode for some other reasons.

I'm not sure if the firmware shown there is still online, the current one is this one:

but it does not have the train/map feature shown in the video but a webmidi page where you can train the note triggers. I can try and add that to that firmware later on but perhaps you even want something more simpler which just works without config. A note remapper is not that difficult to make.

I understand well I tried to find older firmware on the website, but couldn't find one. Arren't there some place were I could find those older firmware stuffs ? (KVS v58 or so)

The problem with the Zone Mapper is I don't understant if I could do something like
[G#2, chan 10] becomes [C4, chan 2]
It would rather split zones and leave the proper note unchanged e.g. [G#2, chan 10] becomes [G#2, chan 2]

I understand that this should be easy to achieve in a simple script with fixed values.... but my programming skills are very poor ! So I'm not able to do even that.
But I shurely would be able to tweek one if I could find a code sketch.
(Really, I don't need that easy train/map feature for my use)
