RK-002 not running anymore and can't update with new firmware.

Hello, I own a RK-002 which I've been using without issues with Volca and Digitakt for the last 7 years.
Yesterday for the first time I had an issue with it. While using a midi-merge device to merge signals with Keystep to DT the cable stopped working and also can't be recognised by the DUY anymore, so I can't refresh the firmware.

Is the cable officially dead? should I just get a new one?

or is there a way to make a reset or refresh the firmware? even if not recognised by the DUY, maybe with another compiler...

What merger did you use? A Self powered one perhaps? Sometimes power on those is quirky and can put the RK002 off.
To start fresh on the RK002 you can drain the power from it by connecting the middle DIN5 pin with the ones next to it (sequentially, does not have to be at the same time). If the RK002 is stuck somehow in a bad loop it will be reset now.

If there is a corrupt DUY on it the DUY portal should report it, but if not - in the first second of powering the RK002 it is in a firmware upload mode (before the actual DUY starts running) this is the moment where you can force a proper firmware on it. If your merger gave problems with the RK002, better not try it in reprogramming the RK002.
