I’m trying to figure something out, and to save hours of frustration. I feel it better to ask – thanks in advance!
I would like to use an Op-1 field as a master clock for a case (well x2 “travel” live gigging).
I bought the 006 after meeting you at superbooth when you released it and the device seems capable, although I would like some advice –
1) Is it possible to set up the 006 with a preset where I can plug the OP-1 Field into it, and it will send a clock gate, start gate, and stop gate from, say, port out 1/2/3 (physical ports on the 006), respectively? Is that correct? The jack cables I can then plug in to say a Pam’s Pro work out as the master Eurorack clock/start/stop ?
2) Will the op-1f power the 006 adequately? Or will it require extra power?
3) I intend to use two OP1Fs(long story I own two), one as a means of recording on the go, the other as sound source, I would like the two synced. This will require a small hub. How do you recommend doing this ? (I’m not asking for advice the the OP1f – I already know how set each up to receive and send clock)
4) The 006 does not use a USB-C – the OP1F uses a USB C – therefore what cables/converter should I be using – it sounds like a basic question – I’ve got literally a wall of boxes of cables, and I don’t just want to buy more – its not right and it sits in box – terrible for the environment – so thought it best to ask you.
5) I note you now seem to have an app for the 006 – I don’t recall that being discussed at Superbooth – is that new ? – the idea is to create the presents on an I pad (which I have an pad pro, fine), is that correct ? – what cable to I require to plug into to the ipad, presumably the app is still available and its on the app store ?
Cheers, and I hope your little 006 is as exciting as I thought it was when we discussed it and I look forward to your guidance.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best
David
