Details for Muting Tracks

I want to play individual tracks at different times over the course of a sequence (external).
After entering CC data on the Polyend Play addressing the RK8, I start the Polyend sequencer. Muting fails. I've tried value 127 and 0. The RK8 is responding to CC#115 <Play>. So basic connections are correct. While fussing, I've looked over and found tracks muted but manually un-muting and then running the sequence fails to mute tracks.

Is the following correct?
1) CC# 18 thru 25 mute tracks 1 thru 8 respectively.
2) CC value 127 is the value to mute, value 0 un-mutes? Or does #127 repeated toggle mute on / mute off ?

My fallback is to separate the tracks onto different parts and switch to different parts as the composition requires.

Muting actually works with notes, not with CC's so you can play a note to mute/unmute a track (or select a track) Note 18-25 are for muting
