I watched this video
from 12:00 onwards, the gate mode port is filtered by MIDI channels... But when I do this, it just doesn't work.
I'm trying to sequence my modular gear, as well as MIDI gear. But on some occasions, the tracks interfere with each other (if notes or CC messages match).
To be more specific, I have set output 1 on the RK-006 to gate mode, and the source to "Key gate by note (36+OUTPORT)," so now MIDI note #36 triggers output 1. I have a filter applied to output 1, which should mute all MIDI channels except one. But the filter does nothing - output 1 triggers from any and all MIDI channels. So if note #36 happens to be in any sequence for any of my gear, output 1 on the RK-006 will always trigger. Same with CC messages.
Of course, this doesn't actually happen very often, and as a workaround, I can change the source note by changing the output port on the RK-006 (for example, to output 2 so it's note #37)... Or change the CC message number, but there isn’t much flexibility when it comes to note or CC numbers in the RK-006 settings. Also, not so great for my workflow! So I think it doesn't work as intended, and I’m hoping for a fix. Thanks! 🙂
